What are health disparities?

Health disparities occur when a disadvantaged population experiences worse health outcomes than other populations. Disparities can be based on race, ethnicity, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability status, socioeconomic status, or any other aspect of an individual’s identity that results in systematic oppression.

Native/Indigenous Peoples

Those experiencing mental illness

Those experiencing poverty
